Order of the Solar Temple: Lies Lead to Trail of Bodies

A quiet ski town near Montreal. A house fire that looks like tragedy. Then investigators step next door and find something that blows the case open: multiple victims, stabbing, and a three-month-old infant murdered with a stake. From that first horrifying scene, we follow the trail into one of the strangest and most disturbing cult stories of the late 20th century: the Order of the Solar Temple.

We walk through how Joseph Di Mambro, a lifelong con artist with a taste for secret societies, builds the foundation, and how Luc Jouret, the warm and magnetic speaker, becomes the recruiting engine. The group mixes Knights Templar mythology, Rosicrucian mysticism, theosophy, and the promise of “ascended masters,” all wrapped in theatrical rituals and escalating tiers of secret knowledge tied to donations.
